Sacred Seed Meditation: Simple, Effortless, and Powerful by Ishtar Ishaya
Many think of meditation as an arduous task, requiring great powers of discipline in order to forcibly control the mind. So many people have the notion that their minds are far too busy to enjoy meditation or “be good at it”. Enlightenment is often seen as a far off goal, rarely achieved by only the hardiest of souls. Happily, these are not at all the case. The restful, alert, and presence soaked consciousness of meditation is natural to all people everywhere. Enlightenment is the birthright of each and every one of us. During the presentation, you will learn an ancient and powerful technique of meditation from the Himalayan tradition, and be introduced to the Ishayas’ Ascension meditation practice.
Ishtar’s (born Thomas Ward Howell) spiritual journey began in earnest at the age of 13, when the death of his beloved mother in a shared car accident gave him a powerful opening to Pure Awareness. This introduction to Higher Consciousness ultimately lead to taking up the practice of meditation, which by the age of 17 took the form of waking up at 3 AM in order to succeed in High School and have 4-6 hours for meditation each day. At age 18, he learned the Ishayas’ Ascension meditation and several months later joined an Ashram on the Oregon coast to deepen his practice, and in 2003 took part in a 6 month Teacher Training course. He has taught Ascension since 2004 all around the world and enjoys few things more than watching people experience and awaken to their own Infinite Consciousness.
